Max Payne 3: Depression Anxiety

Max Payne is back with a third and brand-new installment, and there aren’t any crying babies or thin blood trails in sight. This means things are off to a good start. I was a huge fan of the first two installments of this franchise, but time does not show favor to classics that try to find their place in a new era.

For those not familiar with the first two installments of the series, those players are missing out. Max Payne and Max Payne 2 are PC-ported third-person shooters with noir and graphic novel elements, that were among the first games to use bullet time. It was an odd ride through the New York criminal underworld, with hallucinations, Norse mythology, and the occult. So whenMax Payne 3 was announced, I expected more of the same noir bullet-laced goodness.
